About

A curatorial and advisory platform.

HKD the Curator is led by curator and cultural strategist Henry K. Duah. The platform produces exhibitions, builds collections, and advises institutions across the African continent and in dialogue with the wider field.

Practice statement

The platform takes a long view. Exhibitions are developed over months, not weeks. Collections are built relationship by relationship. Each engagement begins with a clear written brief and ends with documentation that can outlive the moment of display.

The work sits at the intersection of three commitments: rigorous curatorial research, the responsible stewardship of cultural material, and the durable development of artist careers. The platform works closely with conservators, scholars, gallerists, and institutions to ensure that each project meets the expectations of its field.

Recent collaborators include galleries, foundations, and private collectors across Accra, Lagos, London, and beyond.
